Ul-Tima was an evil sorceress in The Legend of the Golden Axe series. She was a disciple of the ncromancer Sorcerer Blackspell.
Unlike Ax-Battler, Tyris-Flare and Gilius-Thunderhead who used the positive elements of the world, Ul-Tima drew on dark magic to battle her foes. She was sent by Sorcerer Blackspell with Rigia Mortius and a group of minotaurs to capture the heroes and bring them to Auropolis. While they were distracted by the battle, Rigia brought several ropes to life and used them to bind Tyris and Gilius (Ax was believed to be dead) and dragged them through the air to her Bizarrian.
Later, she guarded the gates of the Corpselands while Blackspell attempted to bring Dark Guld back to life. She ambushed Ax and Gilius and held them off for some time, raising a skeleton army from beneath their feet, but Gilius used a medium spell which resulted in a rain of rocks that crushed the skeletons and stroke Ul-Tima in the head, killing her.
Trivia
- Ul-Tima carried with her a staff adorned with a sickle, but did not use in battle, preferring to use magic.
- Every magic user in the series requests that someone give them the power they need. Ul-Tima pledges to the "demon of serpents", much like Cobraxis prays to the "serpent God". She also calls upon the "demons of death" to summon her skeleton warriors.
- Ul-Tima is the only person, aside from the main heroes and the dwarf people, to have a hyphenated name.
