Sonic Mega Collection is a Nintendo Gamecube compilation game released in 2003, with a rerelease for Playstation 2 and Xbox (titled Sonic Mega Collection Plus) made available in 2005. The game is a modern selection of "classic" Sonic games for the Mega Drive, Master System and Game gear, plus a couple of others. It is the precursor to Sonic Gems Collection.

Q Zone
In Issue 233 of Sonic the Comic Online, Stuart Gipp presented a special edition of the Q Zone, dedicated to Sonic Mega Collection. Gipp reveals why there are question marks on the game select screen (unlockable titles), a few level select cheats for the Mega Drive games, a strategy for defeating the Squeeze Tag Machine in Sonic 3, how to become Super Sonic and other miscellaneous tips.
The feature is accompanied by screenshots from Sonic 1, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic 3D.
Timeline
The previous game in the series to be released was Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. The next is Sonic Advance 2.
