The Party Pooper was a minor villain in Sonic the Comic. The badger (or similar creature) rarely got invited to parties and decided to take out his frustration on happy revellers on New Year's Eve. Donning an eye mask and cloak, the Party Pooper concocted a magnet and planned to stop the Metropolis Zone's clock tower bell from ringing at midnight, effectively "stopping time".
Unfortunately, his flair didn't make up for his ridiculous plan; stopping a clock doesn't freeze time. Worse still, the bell was brass and wasn't affected by the magnet. Not discouraged, the Party Pooper attempted to destroy Shortfuse the Cybernik by using magnetism to short his circuits. Unfortunately for him, the squirrel wasn't in his armour and was able to tackle the criminal. The charge knocked into the magnet, pulling scaffolding towards the pair of them. The Party Pooper was quickly saved by Tekno the Canary, Amy Rose handling their friend. After the Party Pooper revealed why he turned to crime, he made a New Year's resolution to turn good. However, it was already too late as his plans had accidentally released Vermin the Cybernik from his prison cell, causing monumental damage to the city.
