Cocoa, often known as hot chocolate is a milky drink consumed on Planet Earth and Mobius. Sometimes served with whipped cream and marshmallows, it is often drank before going to sleep at night.

Hot chocolate was first seen being drunk by Doctor Ivo Robotnik in A Day in the Life of Robotnik. After a hard day of attempting to kill Sonic the Hedgehog, the dictator escaped the following cameras and settled into bed with a mug of hot cocoa (that wasn't shown) and an edition of True Teen Romance. Unfortunately, he was still being filmed and was forced to hide in shame.

Some time later, cocoa was proposed as a way to settle the differences between Professor Frank N. Stein and Mick C McTosis by Mr Cuddle Bunny. Unfortunately, the rabbit "cannae abide thae milky drinks" and Stein ordered Chuck D. Head to attack his foe.

Elsewhere, a letter in Issue 117's Speedlines suggested that Megadroid needed to have a break and drink some cocoa. The droid agreed about the rest, but worried that cocoa would make him rusty.

On other occasions, characters like the Freedom Fighters have been seen with steaming cups but the contents were unclear.
